The pictures aren't showing anymore in the post and the link , if you post any new menus that would be great, still debating on buying a RNS510(better interface) off Egay or the other two options(Avc9000-1 and the way....)
All I want is a cool cd/dvd/radio with a reverse camera option, not so fussed with satnav but bluetooth would be more handy.

I've got the Waywell 6050, sometimes called the AVC9000-1. With no pictures visble in the thread I'm not sure if this is the same.
I'm waiting on some adaptor parts to arrive, then I'll post a thread on how to install the reverse camera

my dealer quoted me $3700 to put a RNS510 in yesterday!?!!

Went from $3000 (I think it I added it in as I bought the car)...

Dealer claimed price of the unit is now $3300 but $400 to fit
(so uch for plug and play eh?!?!)

The MY09 was $3500 for the satnav/camera combo. On the MY10 they've been split - $3000 for satnav, extra $700 if you want the camera too. That's from the RRP list.

            or $3000 if you have a 147TSI.

Just noticed they have pulled the price list of the internet web site too when I was trying to check out the MY10 new prices!

Cool thanks, wasn't sure if I needed the rear parking sensor as well as the camera for a RNS510 but the camera should just connect to a video input what the back of the head unit irespective if its a 6050 AVC9000-1 or 510.

Was curious if any body else had the images of Clips upgraded interface which the standard one available on the 6050/9000-1 is lacking compared to the OE 510

oops, sorry. Back again if you look at previous page. Just removed the orange lettering from the start of Entertainment and Nav System. Looks better when displayed on the unit.

There is now a simple app available that allows you to crack the file, replace the menus and then then reflash the head unit.
Menus look pretty cool, what is and where do yo get the crack to uallow the uploading of a new menu?
I am a multimedia designer(more on visual than programming) by trade so designing a new interface won't be too much of a hassle still think you did a good job on yours, so as longas I whip up a few backgrounds and bittong or other screens in Photoshop or Fireworks all I need is the app to crack the file and reflash the head unit with the crack on an sd card?

                    you need Sunplus editor:
                    http://powerdns.homeip.net/.
make sure you set it to Sunplus 128key under the Options menu. Register the program for 3 euros (otherwise you can't actually save your new file). Copy the new file onto a USB stick and plug it in. Fire up head unit and it should run the upgrade program.

The menus I'm using are a mix of my own and others, but I'm sure you could do a lot better! For all the info on it, you can read thru this lot if you have the time: http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82493

Good luck, let us know how it goes and what designs you end up with. Give us a yell if you have any probs with the program.

hi do you folks know if that software will update the menus on the later 9000-1 unit?
how is the new software loaded?

anyone used their rear vision camera? its replaces one of the number plate illumination lights, very discrete

                      any long term issues?
                      kind regards

hmmm, I just had a look at the menu structure of the 9000-1 and it is very different to the 9000 and some of the other brands. As you can't change the position of any touchable icons, you have to build the menus around the original display's current touchable icon positions. In other words, because the 9000-1 has it's icons in different positions to the others, at the least you would need a copy of the original .bin file for the 9000-1. I don't know where you could get that unless Sunplus have a new version to suit.
