My 2009 147TSI

The 147 only has rear parking sensors as standard. It does have the OPS, but for rear only.

Was only just re reading the brochure 10 mins ago - and noticed there are only rear parking sensors! bugger! Not necessarily a war stopper for me though... and am even thinking of giving up Park Assist for a Sunroof!
It is HUGE! Drove a 125 today with the sunroof and WOW!

How are you finding the Black to keep clean now you've had it for a bit?
Or Black leather and black car... does it get hot?

This is my first black car, lets just say compared to my Reflex silver Golf it is a bit of a challenge to keep clean! I think as long as I keep the wax up it should continue to look good even when a bit dirty. Since I've had the car it's been cool, we'll see how hot it gets next summer I've leased the car for three years so if it drives me nuts I've always got the option to hand it back and upgrade!

Dynaudio is an option on all models, I think it's worth it although it is a bit on the pricey side, sounds much better than the stock RCD510...

The quality of VW paint can't be compared to Toyota, Holden or Ford - it is exceptional (was on my reflex silver golf too, 5 years and a few polishes and it still looks brand new!).

I took the reverse tac...
instead of trying to get them to reduce the price of the car or factory options...
I go them to keep increasing the price on my trade in until the "change over" amount was what I wanted.

I hve been reading and researching about Tiguan's now for several months - but recently decided it was time (and my Alfa had a couple of hiccups).
I didn't want to order one, as I couldn't survive a 5 month wait.

With the 147's so new, and many have been pre ordered...
I ended up with the Black, Black Leather and Sunroof.
Would have loved Park Assist but they only had a white one in stock that had that, and the dealer that did have a Silver Leaf 147 with leather and Park Assist didn't rise to my challenge of increasing the price they would give me on my trade in.
(and we are talking about several thousands of dollars difference)!!!!

So yes I got a very very good deal I think.
The sunroof is amazing!!!!
Oh yeah and black looks incredible!

Well I just had a great day driving around the region in my Tiguan!

I'm super impressed with the power and pickup!
Very quiet, smooth ride... and going up hills / mountains plenty of power... even lots left in the tank to overtake going up some steep hills!

You don't realise how fast you are going!!!! Think I have scored my first speeding ticket?!?!!?! oops!

Lovin the leather and seats in my 147 - WOW very very comfortable...
can hardly hear the engine driving on the highway, very little roll when cornering, and auto gearbox is proving to be very responsive!

I'm still playing with the standard stereo... Must say I'm not overly impressed with the sound quality yet - well not consistently anyway... so whether that is speakers / head unit or the quality of the music I'm playing (either iPod via AUX, MP3 CDs mostly) but I will keep playing.

Very happy 147 owner!
More driving tomorrow - gotta love a long weekend!

Speakers are the limiting factor Dave, the stock head units are actually quite good quality when mated up with quality speakers/amps. Mine sounds great

Well I bit the bullet and yesterday added RNS510 + MDI to my beautiful Black 147TSI Tiguan!

Now a new toy to play with!!! WOOHOO!
