I actually thought you meant something like this....?

I see that your install didn't even require any type of connection to a CECM. What the the different grill options ie. 18 Vs 28?
      Hi

When I got mine I gave the dealer in the UK my VIN number and he made sure he got the right ones for my Tig but I'm sure there are only two different grills, one for the track and field (28º front) and one for the standard (18º front). ALL the Ausi and NA ones are 18º but some of the others World wide have the 28º front. Just make sure you get the right ones !!

      Cheers

Has anyone fitted large additional driving lights to their Tiguan either using a nerf-bar or a Uni-bar -numberplate bar?
I was curious about particularly the stiffness; non vibrating lights....price, supplier complications etcetera.

I've some Osram 65w Rallye globes on the way but expect the real solution to improve visibility in winding mountain roads will be either fitting the OEM fogs or additional lights, maybe both?

Can anyone describe to OEM foglight spead and how it infills the roadside beyond the low-beam light spread?

At highway speed on meandering roads on a clear night the std lights aren't too bad, add rain or tight turns and wombats/roos are too easily hidden on the road verge for my aging eyes.

OEM Foglights provide very little, if any additonal long range lighting. All they provide is some additional lighting very close to the front of the vehicle and slightly more to the side (but once again, very close to the front of the vehicle). ie more short range light than anything else.

Yes road verge lighting, say from 45-90deg, brightness and reach is what i'm curious about.
Aftermarket lighting will illuminate this area (and more) but is a clumsly installation. I was wondering, somewhat dubiously, if the OEM fogs might suffice in lighting while being neater and less costly.

Orsam 65w Rallye globes fitted to low & high beams.
Wortwhile improvement, brighter, with longer reach. Sufficiently white, not blue filtered for those needing to follow trends. Same life expectancy as original globes.
Not in the same league as decent driving lights but pretty good.

I was just wondering if you had these fitted yet.
Glad to hear that you think they are a worthy investment.
I am still very happy with mine.

Contemplated getting some DRL's hooked up but it's probably not worth it.
