Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Airbag light help - Vic 3023

    Hey guys,

    Had to relive the alternator in my 2010 TDI. All good now but airbag light is on - I’m guessing needs a software swipe reading some topics here.

    I think I’m going to buy a unit that lets me do it but no time before Xmas!

    Anyone local to Caroline Springs to help out?

    You local Supercheap might be able to clear it for you, for a small fee.

      Try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes, see if that helps wipe your codes. You should still have access to the car with the keys, so you shouldn't worry about that.
