TDI Adblue frequency

Looking at a TDI Tig, and wondering about the Adblue additive...
How often do you have to add it? Once per 10000km etc ?

Looks like it is about 9-10,000 Kms , I put 6 litres in after doing just over 6000Km ( that was the max amount required on the display) and still had 4500km left. I have a 110TDI and mostly highway driving if that makes any difference to the consumption of adblue.

140TDI, added 10L after 7500, the next one is coming up around 8500
