Colour me skeptical but does it make sense to run the Audi 5 pot in a VW R? It would make more sense to me to use the same engine as the Golf R and keep the brand separation, unless they're looking to spread out development costs. Another thing that made me skeptical is that there is no camo on a future product and has me wondering if this is actually a development mule for the RS variant of the new gen Audi Q3 which is due for release next year. Yeah development mule for the RSQ3 makes more sense. But there's been growing speculation about an R series Tiguan which the factory is saying is still a possibility.
