Page 21 of the new brochure lists TJA as a feature of DAP, and again in the specifications section for the DAP option. Interesting given all the conversation around TJA in the forum, and the responses from Volkswagen about it not being available.

I wonder what would happen if we went to a dealer and said "I see you're advertising DAP with TJA but my DAP didn't come with TJA, I'm sure it's a quick fix for you so could you squeeze me in for a quick software update"?

Don't say anything about MY17, MY18 etc, just pretend you know nothing about it. Even better, send your wife to get the upgrade! I may give this a go if I can convince the wife

Hello All,
Did you guys noticed the improvements on the ACC of the new Arteon.
It is now "Predictive" and it is connected to the GPS, the speed limit reader, and the dynamic lights.
Basically, using the GPS it can point the lights to a curve before you even turn the wheels, it can slow down your speed limit automatically by reading the speed limits and also when the GPS sees that you would need to break in order to make a curve.

How long do you think it will need for the Tiguan to get aligned on that feature?

Its definitely in MY18 builds been using it for a week now. I notice Nissan is also adopting 3 seconds as when a button is required to resume if stopped in traffic jam for extended period.

1. Does the boot have any sensors to stop when it's opening up and if it hits a barrier? My17 doesn't have this and could knock out a person!

2. Are the exhausts on 162tsi still fake?

Yes to both.
Although I get your comment that MY17 doesn't have a sensor per se... in my MY18 it senses resistance and has to effectively hit something before it stops and reverses direction. There is no beam sensor or sonar that I can observe to detect any obstacles.
I set it to limit the height so it doesn't bash my low garage door when opening... and make sure my toddler is clear when opening or closing because it is strong enough to knock him for a six, or trap a finger or two.

Just the part where the rail fixes to the roof is now black on MY18. Rails are still silver.

The options for Predictive Speed Limit (ACC using the camera) and Dynamic Curve Recognition (using the GPS) is present in the long coding of my cars ACC module. I have enabled them all in as far as the options appear on the Discover head unit but since they appear to be SWAP functions they cannot be selected. Technically, it should be possible for VW to enable these for a fee as they do with other SWAP functions...but we know how VW feels about those

Does anyone know what the factory privacy glass tint percentages are for Tiguan R-line 162TSI? Someone posted the specs from VWA but I can't find it!
