BTW my dealer allowed us to change us to adventure with DAP looking forward to it in 2 weeks time.
I have been waiting since Feb for my Tiggy. ETA is now late Nov. If you get your just released variant arrives in 2 weeks time I will be stunned. VW seem to use the "it wont be long now" line as a way of promoting sales. Basically BS !!

I'm told there's an embargo and shortage of both screens cockpit and dash for the high line due to global demand. Might be the cause for your delay...
More opportunites have been lost from indecision, rather than wrong decision....

That is correct, when we went for a test drive as well we were told up front if you want to order Highline with DAP be prepared to wait for at least 8-9 months.
The new dynaudio pro with gesture screen has made it even worse.
I am planning to upgrade again but it will be when refresh comes out.. then I will be going for top spec.

I got my new tiguan last week. It is a MY18 diesel highline. It was a nice surprise because I was expecting an MY17. Others must be getting them as well. It's a great drive. The main difference is the Infotainment which is vastly better than our Model 7 Golf. The specs shown here are spot on.

Congrats, do you know if Traffic Jam Assist is working, easy way to test is set adaptive cruise control to a speed, come to a complete stop behind another car at the lights, if after 3 secs the car follows the car in front once it starts off again you'll have TJA. If not you'll have to manually restart by pressing the Res button on the steering wheel. When my car, without TJA, comes to a stop behind another a message pops up on the AID, stating ACC ready to start (or something similar). Thinking with TJA enabled you won't see this. Reason I'm keen on this info, been wrestling with VWA on getting this feature enabled on my MY17 and the last comment from them is it won't be happening due to the roads not supporting it. When I queried them on MY18 having it they said no it doesn't. So just looking for further info to plead the MY17 case.

Many thanks!
From my understanding you always have to push a button on your steering wheel or touch the gass, even with TJA. ( if the stop is longer then 3-5 secs I believe)
If your car actually slows down automatically to a complete stop, this means you have TJA, otherwise an alarm will beep at around 65km/h and you have to manually break to stop the car completely. And to enable ACC again you have to drive at least the 65km/h again. Untill 65 you have to manually press the gass pedal.

My car definitely doesn't have TJA as I only enabled adaptive lane guidance last week via ODB11 (this is a requirement of TJA) and it was already coming to a complete stop behind another car slowing down at the lights before enabling ALG, if the car in front moves off within 3 seconds it would follow. If it's longer than 3 seconds I need to press the button to resume ACC. In all my reading TJA removes this and it'll resume itself automatically removing the 3 second limit.
Ok, then it would be even better to enable it.
I Thought my new Tiguan couldn't even stop automatically without TJA so that's already a plus for me .
If the dealer keeps his word, my MY18 should arrive next week and I can let you know if it has TJA or not.( I did not select the option on the list)
I took my car 3 weeks before, It works exactly as "Tig" said. It stops and moves within 3 seconds but I need to press the pedal if more than 3 seconds but the ACC enabled (no need to drive 65km/h again) and maintain the traffic. The same with or without Auto start-stop function.
Also, Twice I noticed that the Car is not slow down when a lane merging with other cars. I tried both left or right lanes but it keeps moving when ACC enabled. I have to manually slow down to adjust the merging lane before ACC adjust the traffic
