I suspect the Aussie delivered model is slightly different to the one posted.
Black roof rails
Different wheels
Infotainment (no button, full touch screen?)
MY18 went into production in late May, so the next batch of cars coming into aus should be my18.

Hi Seanix,
Do you have any info around Traffic Jam Assist and Adaptive Lane Guidance?
I loved the look of the Tiguan and the drive is great, but just hated the bouncing around with Lane Keep Assist.
Honda Sensing does the Lane Guidance pretty well and call TJA as Stop & Go. I would love to have that on the Tiguan.
Buying decision made easy

Hey mate, I am yet to take delivery of the Tiguan. Its fully optioned but can't comment on how well the lane assist behaves.
This will be our first VW. The test drive won me over the Q5 and GLC.
162 R line was a easy choice when compared to the other 2 SUVs.
My Audi RS has lane assist and works well so I can only assume the VW will be similar due to being part of the VAG.
I think TJA works in conjunction with the ACC under 65 km an hour. Apparently it follows the car in front, and if the car in front stops or slows down you will too, to Resume again I think you just have to push the Resume button or push the gas. As for the active line guidance it does not ping-pong from side to side it keeps the car centred in the middle of the lines on the road.
Seanix: Interesting that you picked it over a Q5 and GLC. What was it that pushed you towards the Tiguan?

The current Q5 looks dated. It's interior is the same as my A4. So it felt like driving a jacked up slower A4.. lol
The SQ5 on the other hand is fast but again the interior hasn't changed in like 8 years.
GLC was nice to drive. Lovely interior and exterior. But in comparison to the Tiguan was significantly slower. I'm referring to the 2.1L diesel btw.
The Tiguan also has the largest boot space compared to the other 2 which was a big ticket item for me.
To sum up my preference on the 162 rline Tiguan:
Looks modern
Virtual cockpit
Ample interior & boot space
Its Fast 😁
So apart from all the good stuff, the name Tiguan cracks me up a little. Sounds like a reptile.. lol

Thanks Seanix.
I will await your review once you get your Tiguan
Definitely interested in Lanes assist/guidance + TJA - That is really the final deal maker when I am paying top dollar - The Tiguan is excellent otherwise - basing on the test drive I did back in Feb this year on the 2017 build.
Forgot to ask - Does lane assist in your Audi keep you centered or bounces between the lanes , coming in to effect only when you inadvertently are switching lanes?

That is indeed right and that is exactly what I am looking for - Do both of these come through for the Australian make in the MY 18 model (The heads up display is also something I am looking forward to)

It works okay. Our roads aren't the best so it often doesn't recognize the lane markers.
When crossing over lanes without using the turn signal, the steering vibrates and softly tries to correct it for you but it's not intrusive. No bouncing from one side to the other.
The radar cruise control comes to a stop if the car stops in front and then takes off again once it gets clearance. This is automated, I don't have to hit resume etc..
The one feature I use most on the Audi assistance pack is speed sign recognition. Love this feature and keeps me in check when I venture into unknown territories 👍
It even picks up on 40kph construction zones. Signs that have been left on the road pavement.

Wasn't traffic sign recognition a part of the 2017 build?
