Absolutely horrible in the machined finish that is so beloved of manufacturers these days.
Interestingly they have carried it over to the new model where in a standard alloy finish it looks completely different.
Agree with your sentiments on painted/machine finished wheels. I suspect it's a tactic of vehicle manufacturers to sell more wheels as it's hard to repair and they are more likely to get replaced in insurance claims.
I'd paint them to look like the ones above. They look completely different (and better) in this design.
