I posted in the Gen 2 thread. Had the TSI 132 for 24hours over this weekend. Pretty damn nice. I currently drive a GTI mk6 and although the Tiguan is an SUV it honestly felt like driving a base GTI. the 162 is a must IMO I'll be happy when I test drive one of those.

I have always wondered what 'dealer delivery' is supposed to be comprised of. Is this charge supposed to take into account the cost of transportation from Europe to Australia or are we simply paying for the dealer to order the car, receive it and give it a once over with a microfiber cloth?
If it includes overseas transportation, how much would it realistically cost to have a car shipped half way across the world?

Dealer also has to take off the plastic protective bits and hopefully not scratch up the paint too much with some well-used wash cloths.

Negotiating down the dealer delivery fee is essential if you want to beat car dealers and avoid one of the biggest institutionalised rip-offs when you buy a new car here in Australia.

I've ordered the 140TDI and I was given an estimate of March 2017 and when I asked about the 162TSI they told me it will be even longer, around June 2017. So January is very doubtful.
Wondering why everyone else is opting for the TSI and not TDI?Last edited by stark27; 05-10-2016, 03:26 PM.Traded: Tornado Red MY11 Golf GTI Adidas

So many people are saying different wait times. I highly doubt it would be June.. that's 9 months, I would tell them to shove the car if I was told that.
I will be ordering mine on Saturday so I will advise on what delivery time I am told. My brother in law is the dealer so hopefully I will have a no bull**** date. You all know car salesman, so I'd say a lot of delivery days you have been estimated are far from the truth

I know the new hiace engine has a dpf, can't remember if the new hilux has one, I have only worked on one diesel one so far. Yes there are some manufacturers that have them but I'd say they all will in a matter of time. Vw is the first light vehicle manufacturer that uses adblue that I have had contact with through work
