I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

I got an email from my dealership in December saying that all highlines have been delayed till May. A month later the car has been built and on a boat on the way to Melbourne. Wait a month and see what happens. You can also request a NADCON printout from them to see the dates. Mind you my dealership also told me that the dates do bounce around a bit in the NADCON system .

Yes mine was ment for May as well. But it has just been built and is hopefully going on a ship soon!

When we ordered ours the dealer did say production starts around the 28th of February

The build itself only takes a few days. So if it states 23rd March, the car will go into production round the 20-21st

I did receive 2 emails from VWG Australia stating that my Tiguan is being built and then shipped (on the water). I received the VIN number from my dealer and have tracked it to Port Kembla. (docked 5:00 am Tuesday 21st Feb)

But silence from then. I emailed my dealer to find she is on annual leave until the end of Feb.

As I do not expect it's delivery before the end of Feb I am still patient.

Also it gives me time to be active on this forum learning lots of interesting info. [emoji106] [emoji106]

VWA are very inconsistent, some people are getting gifts (model cars, pens...), some arent. Some are getting update emails on the status some arent. My car is currently on the water and halfway through its journey and still no updated email as to the car being shipped. I know for a fact that it is being shipped as I can track it as well as confirmation from the dealer that it is on that vessel.

yeah, most of it is done by robots. just checked my paperwork and it is actually 6 from the time it enters the body shop till the time it leaves the production plant.

It's currently off the coast of Sierra Leone with Glenbach's Tiguan and due in Melbourne on the 15th March - so I anticipate it will be 2-3 weeks after that before I can pick it up.
