Driver Personalization for newbie

Hi all,
I just received a 162 R-line S&V Allspace and this forum was helpful in that process (led me to Hunters Hill Window Tinting and Opticoat protection).

I’m trying to figure out how to get personalized driver settings for me and my wife linked to our respective fobs but I have no personalisation menu item. Manual seems to suggest I need We Connect which doesn’t seem to be available in Aus. I’ve searched the web/this forum and can’t seem to pin down if driver personalisation is possible in Aus and how to achieve it.

Having settings auto apply via fob access would add another layer of Tiggy joy so hopefully someone out there can guide me on this.

It should be in settings/personalisation/driver

set up car seat/ door mirrors to your personal preferences then go to settings and set yourself up

The 2021 do not have this feature anymore, 2020 and earlier

No personalisation option under settings. It is a 2021 model so that must be it but why would they take it away!! Guess the surprise wireless Apple CarPlay will have to suffice

Or rather it requires VW online connected services which are unavailable in Australia so deactivated on our models
They also removed adaptive lane guidance - not sure why

You can save seat settings to the 1,2,3 buttons on the side of the seats

The adaptive lane guidance at least is a quick fix with an OBD11.

But yes, I can't understand why they would go backwards with those 2 features. The adaptive lane guidance especially makes it such a better ride than without it, and without it it keeps yelling at you to stay centred in the lane, even when that's not always the safest place to be, and then the car really ping pongs back and forth in the lane if you don't have a firm grip on the steering wheel at all times.

You personalize setting by using the different remotes. Im the only driver of my car and this week when remotes battery went flat Nd I used the spare my seat and other settings didnt work.

After i went back to my remote they did

Lots of theings in 2020 on versions cant be altered with OBDEleven.

Allspace October 2020 built MY21 which has wireless CarPlay and lacks the adaptive lane guidance and personalisation. The SWB MY21 aren’t out yet

Thanks, I’ve read somewhere it may not work with MY21 - I was seeing if Tiggyiggyiggy had any issues as they have a MY21 also

Can’t see adaptive lane guidance in your doc - is that because it’s already standard on your Tiguan?
