Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

2020 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift spotted | CarAdvice

Would this be considered at 0.5 update? If not then mods can just change it to the 2020 Tiguan update.
If someone can embed the image that would be great!
    Current:
    2017 Mk2 Tiguan 162TSI, R-line, White
    2020 Mk7.5 Golf R Wagon, White

Looks sleeker, but less aggressive. Excited to see more photos come through

Then Toyota will copy it and paste it over their Rav 4, however make it much uglier.
Anyone notice the latest Rav 4 has very similar design features?

Typical Toyota, however they've lost their touch lately.. back then it was copy and make it better, these days it's copy and make it mediocre lol.

Goodbye to the 90s era, where Toyota made some truly awesome ****.

            2021 VW Tiguan rendering | Motor1.com Photos
Unsure how much truth there is to this image, as it seems to be a photoshopped version of the current gen. But from what I can tell, the front headlights (golf mk8?) seem to match up with what was shown in the previous link.

Not sure how I feel about the updated look. Will be interesting to see what changes occur inside and whether it will follow the Mk8 Golf or not.

This gives a better look at the front end; I must say I like it. Interior should pick up upgraded tech. Expect to see it unveiled at the 2020 Geneva motor show in March.

I suspect late this year or early next year

Considering it’s seemingly identical to the facelift R-Line, hopefully that’s not the R.
I’m sure I’m not alone in hoping for them to actually produce a Tig R, but also if they did, for it to look more aggressive than the R-Line.

Not much change to the current shape at all. Even the headlights are nothing like the new VW Golf as I’ve seen in other spy photos.

I thought the same thing. I was hell bent on getting the new model. Now I’m not fussed.
