New car with floor cut at delivery.

Hi Guys,

I noticed there were two carpet cuts and not sealed properly underneath the driver seat. When the car was delivered to me, it was not sealed/covered at all. I was told they had to cut it for carrying out some work, likely installation of a towbar when I called them. Later they 'fixed' it by putting the cuts back in the holes without gluing etc, a vacuum would suck it away easily.

One of the cut is around 2cm by 5cm, another one is roughly circular of diameter of 4 cm.

Is this something I have to live with in the next couple of years?

Get some glue then or take it back and get then to do it properly Why did they cut it Surely could have rolled it back

Take it back - I have a towbar and there’s no carpet cuts...that sounds dodgy to have cuts underneath the drivers seat

Contact VW Australia and complain. I had to do that to get the dealer to solve a delivery problem with my new car
