Tiguan Allspace 2020 DAB+ digital radio?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if the new Tiguan Allspace will have DAB+ digital radio?? If not, why do you think this is the case?? Also, is there a way to add it if not ?

I can’t answer, but so far tiguans haven’t had the ‘antenna’ module for dab physically installed, so it can’t be enabled- cheaply/easily.

The Aussie branch of VW decides which features we will have (along with VW HQ input) sometimes it’s a legal reason, sometimes it’s about being cheap(ie more profit), marketing and product placement vs competition and other brands within the company (ie Audi and Skoda), sometimes HQ research a possible option vs the way it’ll function in Australia and say ‘this will not work the way we want, we don’t want to enable a ‘dodgy’ version and look stupid’

Does the Kodak or Q5 have DAB?
what about any other VW badged vehicle - do any of them?

As they all basically have the same entertainment systems under different names I would suspect the answer is no.

Eg the Skoda maps are the same as the VW ones just with a different file name.. Unless you live in the central cities Dab is useless anyway.

I lived 40 mins out of Brissie and could barely get it on a home DAB radio Had to almost stand on one foot leaning to the right with aerial wire held in exact spot to get decent reception

Does the Kodak or Q5 have DAB?

Q5 has it and it works well in urban areas, outside that use your phone to plug in (Android Auto in my case) to use a web based radio app.
