A point I made a long time ago. The ere should an electronic version of it in which the applicable market specification can be filtered using tags or some such method. Cars have become so complex and VW build a kit of parts for each market which does not help at all.
I have my vehicles specific information as to what it has fitted to it 3 pages of it in fact

Of course it is, the manual should be universal and then searchable by market, that way there only needs to be one document. It isn't rocket science, any 15 year old could design it given the raw data. Tag each item by country it is fitted and used in and make it searchable using tags. Car companies fit the latest and greatest tech and then revert to a format that has been around since Adam played full back for Israel. Someone posted a link some time ago showing Mercedes first attempt at an electronic manual so at least someone is waking up.
On hot days, when our Tig is parked in the sun, we regularly open the driver's door and then lift and release the boot switch, to allow the hatch to open and get rid of the hot air.
Once every one is in and the doors are closed, I simply lift and release the switch again, and the hatch closes.
We do not have to hold the switch up, simply lift it up and release for both opening and closing.
