Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Have just updated my Satnav to 2019 ROW 76 took about an hour to do it.

Used a Fujitsu class 10 32GB SD card we usually use in a camera

Wouldnt read it initially in SD slot 1 so stuck it in slot 2 and away it went good as gold

And about 45mins to install in the car.

Info on their website looks easy enough. I’m interested to know as well if anyone has tried it? I think the cost is around A$20 so worth a try?

Love to know how they do it.
In my previous Kluger, you could store 100 memory points, so I would mark the location of speed/safety cameras, add an icon with sound and used that to prompt me when approaching them.
Reading the link, they seem to do similar, though I tried but couldn’t see how I could do it manually...?

Is rns510 the gps processor, or a particular head unit?

I have the 9.2” screen, and I hear it Calle discover pro 2, so I suspect this won’t work for me. Happy to be wrong.

Rns510 is the headunit of the previous gen Tiguan.
After selecting all the options, it shows the picture of the unit and the instructions. The latest ones look to be the discover pro (all models).

Some still have Discover MEDIA which is the one with two buttons. It will tell you if you go to settings /Version information
