  • 110TSI piggy back chip / tune

    Hey All,
I know this wont be a popular thread as i am in the minority with a 110TSI... but just wondering if anyone has tried/ heard of any compatible piggy back tunes.
I have actually been very pleased with the engine, the car, and its performance... just wouldnt mind a few extra pounds of boost and the accompanying kw/ nm for an extra 300-400 dollars.

We didnt spring for the 132/ 162 for budget and use reasons... (grocery getter, city cruiser 95% of the time).

I have a Neuspeed on my A4 2.0TSI 195kw... and it was a noticeable difference and worth the few $hundred bucks.

If it is the same engine as the Golf/ Jetta 1.4TSI, i expect someone would release one soon as the tweaks would be minor.

    Cheers

Have a check of this thread: Project 145TSI

I'm not sure if the 110TSI in the Golf and Tiguan are identical but Sharkie's achieved some nice gains from a tune on his 1.4turbo Golf.

The good thing about the 110TSI Tig is that it's FWD and saves 100kg over the AWD versions. The 132TSI/162TSI need more power just to compensate for the additional weight and drivetrain losses of the higher torque gearbox + AWD.

      2016 Scirocco R, stage 1, 205kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's Scirocco R Build
      2013 Tiguan 155TSI, stage 1, 144kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 155TSI Build
      2011 Tiguan 125TSI, Stage 2+, 152kwaw (sold)

Thanks Both. I was pleasantly surprised at what little difference i could notice when i test drove the 110 vs the 132. Ultimately we put that money towards the tech / options. I would like to get it to the 135kw range. Dont the JB4's require a O2 sensor tap?

It is honestly every bit as nice to drive as my B9 A4... quiet, smooth, and easy (with all the tech).

Yea its just a small size pin hole, no Dealer will ever find it
Ive had mine for 2 years and go to dealer for service, never any questions as I remove it before services.
