  • Help! - Loud buzzing noise during ACC auto braking

Hi all - we just completed a 3k drive up to Queensland over Xmas in my 162 with largely no issues. What we did start noticing was when the adaptive cruise control applies the brakes a kind of buzzing (or almost tweeting) sound is quite audible, particularly at low speeds. Some forums say this can be a characteristic of the ACC hydraulic braking but seems odd that it wasn’t audible in the other Tiguan I’ve driven and has only popped up after a few thousand km’s.

Any tips? Go back to the dealer or perfectly normal?
    Thanks!

Get it checked out. Could just be a loose-ish mount for whatever controller/regulator applies the brakes electronically, when it’s not human-foot powered. My Mazda made a slight noise from under the dash area when it actuated the brakes via radar cruise. Not to the level you’re describing though.
