I know it’s not news anymore, but does anyone know why?

I’ve heard that it’s only for the year 2019. Also there are fewer colours and some models are more affected than others. Hopefully when VW Australia see that their decision had negative impact on sales, they revert it.
I for sure will look at X3 once our 2010 made TDI Tiguan has its 10th birthday.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

I don't think it was VW Australia choice. They would have wanted to continue with the existing line-up if they could have. It's down to the new WLTP testing protocols that have been put in place (partly as a result of dieselgate). The factory was unable to get all models through the testing regime so they had to prioritise on the higher volume sellers. This is why there's no diesel and no 118TSI.Last edited by tigger73; 30-12-2018, 02:48 PM.

Actually across the entire range - Passat, Golf, Tiguan. Anything coming from Europe is an issue. The only models that still have a diesel engine in the passenger cars is the Passat Alltrack and the Tiguan Allspace and that gets built out of Mexico.Originally posted by syncro View PostIt's the same with Golfs. No more diesels.

...and the shortage of colour pigments across Europe caused that there are fewer colour choices in Australia.
