Tiguan 2020 Mid-Life Update

I know this is getting in early but there's a few pictures floating around of the mid-life update that will be coming out for the Tiguan (likely) in 2020.

You would anticipate the GTE concept might be something resembling an R-Line front bar. They definitely need to clean up that overly 'heavy' design and that looks like a solid improvement.

Although your "standard" spy shot has Mk7 Golf R/R-Line overtones to it's shape/design.

i think the bottom 2 are the touareg mk3 under test. With camouflage/covers over the new front grill

I think you could be right here. On closer inspection there is a cover over the lower section of the upper grille (between the number plate and the badge). The wheels/car also does look heavier too.

I like the GTE design front bar. I'd have it on my car. I agree that the current R-line is a bit heavy on the styling and doesn't necessarily balance/blend well with the rest of the car.

That blue GTE would be spot on - right front bar, right colour and right wheels eh.

Far sportier/better looking than existing R-Line set-up. I absolutely suspect they will fix that issue on the FL.
