I have corrected my speedo to read exactly correct at 100kph.

Also dropping back from 110 to 80 for the large roadworks in our area it will whack the brakes on and slow you down really fast and quite dangerously if in traffic..

Another thing here, if you drop the speed back to 90- rather than 80, it won’t lower the speed as quickly, then when you’re going less than 100, click down to 80.

The system seems to be programmed to bring the speed DOWN to the new reference point in X seconds (maybe 5-8 ) so going from 110-100 is a gradual speed reduction (engine braking), 110-90 is with some brakes, 110-80(and 70,60, etc) needs LOTS of brakes to meet this programming.

You are correct but when two lanes are running at 110 right up to the sign its a bit hard to knock it back so i just use the accelerator to keep it going fast enough to gradually slow it down and then let it take over. Have to stay in left lane for the ones who cant read the speed signs as well. Wish they would stick a camera somewhere in the middle of the 8km of works. They would make a fortune from the mainly young female drivers who cant read but of course limits dont apply to them Im told

Have found that the Tiguan ACC is not as accurate as my B7 Passat was. It would sit on selected speed anywhere, whereas the Tig varies by up to 2 up or down from setting

Ditto my Skoda Superb, it was rock steady solid once it was set, the Tiguan is rarely at the set speed. I think the Superb was better than the Tiguan even towing the race trailer which weighed about 800kg.

There's nothing surprising about that. I've always enjoyed learning new things. It's a pity I don't have time for anything else because of academic assignments.
