    Thanks mate.
Was great to be the first to drive one out of Kevin Dennis at Deer Park this afternoon.
Some more pics below. Not the best light conditions but here goes.

Congrats, very nice looking. Enjoy the new wheels!

Really like that white, really has a nice shine/glow to it compared to the pure white.

My local dealer said different dealers have different deals with Continental/Pirelli. So all just depends which one you purchase from.

Is it just me or does the HUD looks tacky, flimsy and oversized?

I'd like one on mine, handy to have the info right at your eye line, but the implementation on the Tig could have looked much better..

Yes dealers will generally supply either Continental or Pirelli and will have a deal with one or the other, however we're talking about what tyres get fitted as "standard" from the factory. I really think they mix it up and it's just luck of the draw. It's actually healthy to have a couple of suppliers as it keeps them competitive and they also are less likely to get into supply issues by have 2 independent tyre manufacturers.

So I’ve been looking at the pics of the Tiguan Wolfsburg this week after waiting to see it for months and I have to be honest I wasn’t really that impressed. I felt it didn’t look as good as the std r line and maybe a bit silly/done up.

Well this morning I went around to a few dealers to look at them in person. I’ve seen all 3 colours and believe it or not I found one with a sunroof also (dealer reckons it’s the only one aus). I have to be honest and say the pics don’t do the Wolfsburg justice. It is much nicer in the flesh for sure!

Is it “better” looking than the R line? Well that comes down to taste.
I’d say the Wolfsburg looks a little more sporty while the R line looks a little more classy.

Either way it is the best looking SUV in its class IMO

Just received a call today that my Orxy White Tiguan will be ready for pick up on Monday afternoon. Salesman has said it is the best looking car in the dealership at the moment .
As the dealer is an hour away from home, I took a drive to another local dealer, who has one on display. I have to agree, the photos do not do the car justice. The contrast of the black trims with the Oryx white paint job just works. The vehicle on display had Continental tyres fitted, so as mentioned above, probably use both and it is just the luck of the draw which one you get. This particular dealer in Brisbane has 4 unsold Wolfsburgs in stock and available for immediate delivery. All are the same price, a touch over $61k on the road. Interestingly, there are 3 Oryx white and 1 black.
So now I wait and countdown until 2pm on Monday when one of these babies will be mine. Although it has only been just over 2 months since I signed on the line for her, the wait has been tough, especially since I had not seen the car when I signed, either in person or even photos.

One thing for certain is that black is really hard to photograph. You lose a lot of the details in the black wheels when it’s photographed. You’re much better off viewing it in person.

Its just the rline with parts painted black. You can do the same yourself to a normal rline...

Not sure why everyone is loosing their **** over it

So I bought the Tiguan Wolfsburg r line and it’s ready to pick up on Thursday. It’s the three layer pearl white. I’ll voice a few of the things I don’t like. When I was told it would have black window belt moulds and black exterior accents I thought. You beauty there going to be gloss black. Just like bmw and Audi do. Now I’m a panel beater and I know that the black mouldings around the glass are cheaper than the chrome. So I’m a bit bummed out about that. Also the black wheel arch extensions well I’m going to smooth out the texture coating on the plastic and prime rub and paint the same as the car. I’m a panel beater spray painter i work for capital smart. Dunno if you guys have heard of them. But yeah what are some things that people want to do?? I’m curious to know. [emoji3][emoji3]

Cheers. Thanks mate. I thought they may be like the golfs. The Wolfsburg in golf gets a whole lot more. Lol. All in all I just can’t wait to see it. Tomoz finally I’ll take pics of all the small subtle changes I don’t think any body has noticed. Being a beater I think I have noticed a few cosmetic changes to front and rear bar. But I may be also terribly wrong.

I did notice from the pics that the black window surround is like a matte type finish and not shiny black like I was expecting. Do you know if this is a rubbery type material or something hard? I did’t mind it too much as long as the B pillar stayed shiny black

It'll be the same black trim as the Trendline
