Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Purple Line - Discovery Pro Screen

    Hello Everyone,

    I picked up my Tiguan 162TSI, Storm trooper a couple of weeks ago.

    Yesterday it developed a purple line in the infotainment screen.

    Wondering if any of you have run into this problem? I have contacted the dealer and they said that they are looking into it. I am sure a replacement screen will be organised. Just wondering if this is a wide spread problem or a one off.

    There have been few popping up in the MY18 onwards model. It seems VW are replacing them under warranty without a fuss.

      Wide spread issue and unfortunately common.. I have a demo Golf R that has the lines in it that no-one had noticed..

        Popped up in our MY18 a little while ago. Booked in by the dealer for next Wednesday.

          Same issue on a Tiguan Allspace we took delivery of a few weeks ago. Going back on Monday for them to take a look at it.
