Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition - Australian Delivery Information

This is the information I've got from gleaned from three separate dealers in my attempts to pre-order a Indium Grey Wolfsburg Tiguan with a sunroof in NSW.

A ship full of Wolfsburg Tiguans is docking on the 10th of October 2018
It takes 10 days from dock to dealer, and another 3 days to prepare at the dealer.
Expect the first Wolfsburgs to be rolling out of the dealer by the 24th of October.

Onyx White, Indium Grey and Black are the Three color options.

The only optional extra is the Sunroof, BUT (and this has potentially cancelled my order) a dealer took me through the ordering system yesterday and could show me 500 Tiguan Wolfsburg editions en-route to Australia, but not one of them has a Sunroof.

A separate dealer (who has my deposit) recently called to say they could get me an Onyx White with sunroof only (and would I like to change my preorder to that car), but a third dealer who I enquired about stock allocations with said they were lying and there were no sunroof spec'd wolfs coming in the first batch.

VW confirmed over facebook that it was an on order option. However the dealer said that this batch is a limited edition and as such they didn't get to order the cars, they simply get allocated stock after listing "preferences"

Take Home Message:
Expect the Wolfsburg to be delivered around the 24th October, big dealers seem to be getting 6-7 cars (2-3 of each colour).
None of the first 500 will have Sunroofs.
DAB+ Radio is mentioned exactly nowhere in the dealer bulletin, so expect no DAB+ radio.

Delivery is exactly as I have been told from my dealer - be delivered by the end of October!

First off, Awesome site with good info. Thanks!!

I’m in the process of deciding/ordering between a Wolfsburg or loaded Highline and the info I’ve gotten from the dealers is all over the place (inc interstate)!

I have seen one dealers allocation of 5 and there was no sunroof available however there was no mention of the lack of sunroof vehicles being in the first batch. Dealer seem genuine and said look I don’t know but that’s all our allocation is at least for now.

Same day the other dealer calls and says I only have one with sunroof in white. Then quotes a price of $69,490d/w. When asked where she got that price from when they are advertised $55,490+Sunroof+orc, she stuttered and said “oh maybe they just are because they can” (implying they will sell). Ahh no don’t think so! She said she’d find out and call me back. Still waiting....
Might just wait till October

I’m kinda getting over the lies back and forth and might just go for the highline as Wolfsburg is looking less and less worth the hassles. Differences are minimal and I have a slight concern the wolf might look a little to “done up” in comparison to the the classy highline

I’ve been told the same info too
1. Expect delivery of Wolfsburg edition end of Oct
2. Sunroof option won’t be available until next batch (2019)
3. Drive away Price (NSW) is approx $63,400 ( slightly cheaper than a fully optioned Highline $63,800)

however the Wolfsburg has new features as mentioned previously but with the following
1. Rear heated seats (side seats only)
2. Electric memory front passenger seat (which wasn’t available in MY18.5)

I was offered another Wolfsburg with sunroof yesterday!?!
I think it’s fair to say, the dealers have no idea what’s going on hence the mixed info

Not according the dealer I spoke to - sound and vision pack and r-line pack are options for MY19 Highline.

There should be some more pictures available soon as it looks like a number of regions are getting "black style" option for R-line. Ignore the wheels on this one as we'll be getting the 20" Suzuka's here in gloss black.

I concur. White doesn’t stand as as much in the pictures but in real life could be different. I actually like the look of the black colour (which is my preference anyways) ��
