I recently had an altercation with the garage door and ripped the fin antenna from the roof. It's been at the panel beaters for a month! By the time they repaired the roof, obtained a replacement fin and reset the GPS. In case you're wondering what damage you can do when the garage door starts coming down at precisely the same time you reverse up to the fin, here's what it looks like.
So the VW GPS Navigation appears to be working fine however when I connect any iPhone to Apple Carplay using a cable, it's showing completely incorrect location - like 5km away. I've read that as soon as you connect to Carplay, the iPhone obtains GPS from the vehicle. Weird that internal GPS is fine but iPhone is not. Any ideas?
