Thanks for the tips guys. Picked up Bowdens Wheely clean and a few of their products. I'm going to wax the car with Meguairs Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Even though I have had 10+ years of my Ming paint protection on my 2006 Toyota Prado, this time I too have decided to do it myself with the Tiggy - when it arrives! Funny enough, I enjoy using products and have the time to do it.Originally posted by 162Tig View PostThanks for the tips guys. Picked up Bowdens Wheely clean and a few of their products. I am gonna use Meguairs also but the NXT GenerationPolymer Paint Sealant and NXT Generation Wash. Will use the Quick Clay product for maintenance every 6 months, then reapply the NXT Paint Sealant.MY18.5 Tiguan - R-Line/DAP/Sunroof in Tungsten Silver

For me, pain protection makes the car easier to clean. Depending on what you get, you never need to waste 2-3 hours waxing the car every six months.Originally posted by 162Tig View PostSo paint protection isn't worth it then?
Get pain protection. I will never get a new car without it again...

I thought the whole reason anyone got paint protection was that it doesn’t require any further coating maintenance? On my old 2006 Prado, water still beads and paint still shines with the Ming protection I had applied back then. No maintenance apart from washing, removing tar, bird droppings and tree sap.Originally posted by marcuskmt View PostOpticoat. It's meant to be permanent, but top ups every year recommended.MY18.5 Tiguan - R-Line/DAP/Sunroof in Tungsten Silver

I've been really happy with the Bowdens Carnauba Body wax on my Arteon. Easy to apply and not too much elbow grease to wipe off.Originally posted by 162Tig View PostCan anyone reccomend any wax for polishing our new black Tig? I don't want to get paint protection. I was thinking Bowdens Carnauba wax. Does anyone have any other reccomendations?
Thanks
For added depth and shine the Fully Slick is very nice. Needs a little extra buffing to get rid of the smears but love how the car looks afterwards.
