I think the genuine set are good if you have a sunroof and want to open it when you have a pod or similar on the roof. If you don't have a sunroof there's a number of other options that don't sit up so high and are more aero design.

This was my concern so I have opted for factory racks. I don’t always want to take them on and off if I know I’m going to need them again in the following week/end - especially during summer.

I ordered roof racks for my Allspace, but the dealer said they are still awaiting VW to "engineer" them?
Sounds like a load of rubbish. Surely they would be the same ones as on a SWB Tigan?

Honestly, if your considering roof bars but haven't purchased yet, look on Gumtree. Bargains galore if you do research and know what to look for. Many sellers dont know what they are selling.

What length are the wingbar bars? I've seen some recommend bar lengths of 118cm, others recommend 130cm, but I think that's a bit too wide.
