Tiguan Allspace

Hey all, recently purchased a Tiguan Allspace RLine. After much trepidation (and wife nagging) I sold the Audi RS3 and took the better halfs lead in the Tiggy (we've got an 18 month old with number 2 on the horizon at some stage soon).

Here's it looking stock. Will share a few upcoming mods over the next week or so. Getting the wheels blacked out and a lot of the chrome removed.

Haven't seen many others doing this to an AllSpace (yet) so wanted to share with the community.

Anyone have an opinion on the possibility of retrofitting the tailgate kick sensor thingy to a 2020 Allspace ?

Not a deal-breaking feature by any stretch, but nice to have if a few hundred bucks worth of parts can do it.

I could be wrong but I thought it was standard across the range. You move foot longitudinally, not sideways

The bloke who was showing me the Allspace last week said it wasn't in MY20 (possibly even MY19.5? - can't remember exactly what he said) vehicles.

I can confirm it’s a standard feature on MY20 Allspace. You just have to kick it longitudinally in the middle and stand back - it recognises space between you/object and boot and won’t open if too close.

Standard on my MY20 Highline Allspace. Pretty sure it's also standard on the other trims.

Wheels done and chrome trim blacked out. Side mirrors annoyingly come in a different colour so sorted that out, along with the roofracks. Making progress.

It looks very cool, love the blacked out wheels and window trims. What sort of stuff have you used on the calipers? Are front windows tinted as well?

De-badged some of the back. Not the best angle but getting some Euro plates soon, so will throw a few more pics up once I've got them on. Looks pretty stealth atm.

Cheeky tune and exhaust in the pipeline I reckon.
