  • Handbrake Light Always On When Car Locked

    Hi all,
not sure if this is a problem, but the red handbrake light on the DAP never goes off when the car is locked with the handbrake on. I'm not sure if this has always been the way it worked, or if some of my changes with OBDEleven have had an unexpected side effect. Can anyone confirm if it should always be on?
    Thanks,

    Thanks,
As in when the engine is off or when you’re parked with engine on?

Well can confirm that when my car is locked and off it doesn’t display, but when it’s locked and I’m still in the car it does.

Yep. I think it had something do with the unit being reset as I made OBDEleven changes. It's disappeared now. Phew.

Hi mortalll77, did you remove the OBDEleven dongle? I've noticed that it stays on if that is plugged in.

sorry i didn't post a clear reply, two times i forgot the dongle plug in the car for the night, in the morning the battery is off, it did it two times, and the most strange that i haven't to change it, just plug the battery with another one and start the car.
Don't ever forget the dongle plug in the car, it will discharge the battery
