Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Does this link above mean they are BSing? Because they clearly state they can to a DQ381 DSG Tune!

The DQ381 has been around for years. Quite feasible that they can tune the early ones, but the variant in the current R models are not "busted" yet so can't be tuned yet.

Have not done many ks yet in mine but I find S mode to be most usable around town - it's less manic than S mode was in the DQ250 GTI and provides mild DSG farts which always made me smile in the GTI. Will mostly go to S4 and S5 and change between 2000 and 2500rpm.

All the changes are much slower though, no snappiness. Bring on the Tune

I am drafting a questionnaire for Racingline to find out how the engine tune works for different driving modes, eg do you get the full fat tune only in race mode or also in eco/comfort/normal mode.
