Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 2023 T-Roc Cargo Tray Lower Position

Can we lower the cargo tray to the lower position like I have seen on some videos and pictures of overseas models?

I've pulled mine out and tried several times and can't seem to get it to fit into the lower position, am I doing something wrong or are we not able to do it with our models?

    No, not doing anything wrong.
The front wheel drive models only allow you to go to the lower position. Additional components of the 4Motion system effect the real estate in the boot area, raising the spare wheel space slightly.
That is why the specs sheet list the luggage area dimensions as 445l for the 1.4 and 392l for the 2.0 models.
