Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • T Roc R - lane keep assist

    Hi all

Anyone know if the lane keep assist can be disabled or for it to remember your preference each time you get in the car?

As far as I can tell, it turns back on every time you start the car (it doesn’t remember your preference).

    Thanks!

Your driver assist settings will have the option to tick lane assist or sub menu for adaptive lane guidance.

Thanks for responding. I tried it both there and via steering wheel. Upon restarting the car, it reactivates sadly [emoji17]

Ok, you need to code in to remember the last setting then, try this youtube video for reference.

          Thanks Flipper. Legend!

Has anybody tried this successfully on a T-Roc R? Keen to find out before I sign on the dotted line as it would be a dealbreaker upgrading from my 2019 GTI.

          Any implications to warranty?

Can be coded out with an OBDELEVEN in 2 minutes . I love it Keeps me on the straight and narrow and recently went to NZ and drove a Mitsi that didnt have it and either it needed a wheel alignment or my driving was crap as it wandered all over the place
