A little bird tells me that the Traffic Response Units (TRU)'s are trialling out the Amarok as their new vehicles in coming weeks! This is awesome news as it will show a different dynamic on use as a commercial/rescue vehicle.

If you are not sure what a TRU is, or what they do here is a link to give you a better understanding of their role.

I have worked along these vehicles for many years as a towing contractor. They play an important role in Brisbane's traffic management from accidents to breakdowns to Closing a streets for a flood or burst water main.
The old Ford Courier version had also used its push-bar to push a broken down fully loaded firetruck off the William Jolly Bridge. Demanding incredible torque and power. Whilst still carrying all the emergency equipment, water, Chemsorb (Spill management, kitty litter mixed with sawdust), tools and traffic management equipment (Cones, Lighting etc)

Hope some of you liked this education lesson lol.

I spotted one on Alice St near the gardens a few weeks ago too, good to see more of them being utilised.
