Trendline rear Speakers

can anyone find out if the trendline had the loom in place in the rear doors for speakers and if it does what size speaker will fit

I presume so as there is an upgrade sound system option

fingers xed i would like to upgrade and put a rcd510 in, + install the rear door speakers,

We have the Trendline with door trims off at the moment. There are definitely no speaker wires running through to the rear doors. From what we've read on other forums the rubber hose corrugated thing has room for the wires to go through.
We have also found we need to upgrade the towpack with an extra box so that trailers with LED lights can be towed.

you couldnt measure what size speaker would fit could you ??

We put in standard 6 1/4 inch speakers. It was pretty easy. There's a piece of foam over the speaker holes. get a blade and trim it on the inside rather than try to peel it off, then the speakers will fit in snugly and it will give some insulation too. The door trim clips break pretty easily. We found toyota ones easier to use as replacements than the VW ones. we have the wires over to the stereo at the centre console now but are getting the new sat nav unit put in in a week or so. we'll wait to wire the speakers in then.For details and photos look at this link.
