G28 engine speed sensor

Hey guys, me again 2011 bitdi. Just started throwing a p0322 error (g28 engine speed sensor) anyone had this error before? Ive got over 160xxx ks now on what I'm assuming to be the original clutch, is it possible debris is fouling the sensor? Or are these sensors known to go? I think I've found where the sensor is, has anyone had to replace theirs? And if so, how did you do it? Looks to be a "fun" job :/
