Voice control

Has anyone had problems with voice control in their mk8 ?
My Golf R acknowledges my voice, but asking it to call someone or turn air con on is useless.
Ive seen some demos on YouTube which work great !

Voice Control is hit-and-miss, it’s unfortunately set to English(UK) as default and there is no option for us here in Australia. Because of this, Voice Recognition finds it difficult to interpret our Aussie accents.

It complements the touch controls nicely, overseas. Shame we don’t get the same options here.

The service manager at vw dealership is looking into it after my complaint. He’s English and tried operating the AC on the demo golf R they have without success, so i don’t think it’s anything to do with accent.
