  • Running on a dyno (disabling Haldex)

    Hi everyone,

I was thinking about going to a dyno next week and I was asked about disengaging the Haldex or it can cause issues.

So I googled for Dyno Mode and found the instructions. However, when it engages it almost immediately throws a Tyre Pressure alarm and quits out of the Mode. I get the notification that TC has been re-enabled and the car seems back to normal.

I adjusted my tyre pressures to my normal running this morning and reset the pressure indicator system but I still get the pressure fault alarm.

I've done a basic scan for fault codes and there's nothing being reported.

So I'm a bit confused. Any ideas?

(Of course, I can just pull the Haldex fuse).

2wd dyno? We run these all day on our dyno dynamics. Just tell the dyno 4wd viscous coupled

Thanks Gav. I believe this is a 4WD Dyno and the operator has already told me that I will need to disable the Haldex in order to use it.

I guess I will just have to pull the fuse, to be certain.

Find out why they need it disabling.

Make sure you have VCDS handy to clear the impressive list of errors afterwards if you do run it in 2wd.

Dyno Ran mine multiple times, no issues with the reading or what not.

also going to try a hub dyno soon, just for kicks.

press and hold traction control button, wait for the beep - should be good to go, as ive done that for mine.
