  • Mk7 R extreme loss of power

Happily driving to Sydney on the Hume Freeway. Cruise control set to 105 kmh. Comfort mode. Truck approaching fast from behind so put the foot down. All hell breaks loose. Warnings lights and bells indicating faults in cruise control and stop start system. Absolutely no power. Cannot accelerate. Pull over quickly to edge of road. Truck just misses me. Car splutters to halt. Restart car. Warnings still on but driveable. Warnings go away after third restart. Has anyone else experienced this? This is spooky!

Did you turn off the first level of traction control? (ESC) if that's on and you approach quick and you have the ACC unit the car will loose it's mind

If there were warning lights, faults will be logged. Get it scanned with VCDS to find out what.
