Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      Same here, but my screen shot from the dealers system says ‘arrival at importer 22/01/18’. I was originnaly told mid-Dec then mid-Jan. Threatened to cancel and they came back with the screenshot confirming. Still don’t believe them until it comes out of the factory mid next month.

          Yeh I've been nervous for a while and probably will be until I'm behind the wheel. It'll be good to get before the summer is over.

            I get your point but....summer is the worst time of year for owning a turbo car. Once the air temp is over 28 degrees you can wave bye bye to huge swathes of your torque curve.

              Yeh fair point. In my head if just got the sun roof up and a nice windy road!

                Same, though the dealer did send me my vin number 3 or so weeks ago, so I'm guessing it's built. Not on a boat yet though.

                      Hey Mr T, I have a feeling a few dealers aren’t quite telling potential customers the truth regarding delivery dates. Feel for you. I’ve ordered a Blue wolf wagon with sunroof, back in June and from back then was told 22/01/2017 arrival at importers.

                      On another note have you signed a contract? I’ve only put the standard $500 deposit nothing since.

                          Yes have signed a contract but the dealer will refund if the car if its not on the boat by the end of November.

                            There’s a blue 7.5 wagon on Carsales. The dealer has to get an award for the worst photography skills of all time. Ever.
                            Mine should be here a a couple of weeks
                            Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
