VW MY16 Changes

Activated it and nothing happened... But I can't now un-activate it

Same here. I was able to deactivate it though.

Reckon that it will be in the coding once Ross-Tech have been able to update the software we might be lucky.

I was also unable to get the auto rain closing feature to work on mine. Perhaps because it has KESSY.

Incidentally I also noticed that the system now indicates that Voice activation requires a "Code". Considering that Siri works when using the voice button it is possible that the system wont need to be updated to include the voice feature. Don;t really care about that though as from my experience the voice control is horrible.

I cannot tell if the guy in the video has his engine on or not, but I've turned my infotainment unit off while accessory power is still on plenty of times and have never seen that clock. So it's definitely not there by default. Will have to see if it's in the settings on my car or requires the engine to be on, or both.

I can confirm I have seen the clock multiple times a) when unit crashes and reboots while car is on b) If i manually turn the unit off engine on or off

My GTIPP MY16 has this clock with a faint logo in the background, same setup as the Video.

More to the point how did that guy in the video get fully black surrounds on his FM station logos? (excluding the white button frame)
If I put a PNG logo with black background I get a thick white boarder around the logo.

I'd say it's because he is usng Sirius satellite radio, so the logos are automatically downloaded by the system.

So i just got a MY16 Golf GTI PP

and it has keyless entry/ignition. The actually 'keys/remotes' themselves still has the fold out 'key' in them.

Does anyone know what this is used for? There are no keyholes anywhere that i can see. (didnt ask dealer as wife picked up car)

There's probably a covered keyhole on the driver's door for emergency entry if the battery's flat.

Confirmed: System Settings > Display > Show Clock in Standby Mode.

I've seen this and was able to get white background logos using a PNG with a transparent background.
But if I make the background black instead I end up with a black background with a large white boarder around the logos not just the white button frame.
