Got my MK7 GTI tuned a few weeks ago. It's not a PP. I guess you would call it a stage 2 tune with DP. IM more than happy with it. The wheels light up pretty easy, you get used to slowly feeding the throttle. The car definitely moves now.

Hi all,
Got my PP done a couple of months ago, effectively a Stage II (exhaust, CAI, tune). It certainly is quick, but I find it more laggy now. In low speed / high gear situations, you really have to boot it (or use the paddles to change down) to get instant acceleration out of it.
I get a lot of flutter from what im guessing is the wastegate doing its thing, too. You can definitely hear it under load, puffing away.
Also got the VWR springs done, the stance is lovely, but the ride is awful. Im going back to stock springs I think.

Hmmm changing cars again???
I think you're going to have to go with an AWD option or spec on a quaife if you want to run a modded car that doesn't feel too compromised.

Well I drove GTI PP, Scirocco and Golf R back to back at VW Driving Experience yesterday and coming from AWD cars I just found the FWD GTI PP a pain with axle tramp. Tuning it is only going to make things worse rather than better. I know, I know it's something you get used to and just have to train the right foot yada yada but if you've got a choice just go for the Golf R.
Having said that if you're going to be jumping out of a modified car into a stock car then it's a recipe for being underwhelmed. So it's not a really fair comparison.
