  • Fitting a navigation to 90TSI?

Hi guys, I have a 90TSI comfortline which does not come with navigation, I recently bought a navigation unit from a wrecker which took off from mk7 GTI, wondering if that will work on my 90TSI and what do I need to do to fit it in? any coding involved? Cheers.

All mk7 units need to be activated at a dealership as they are locked to the car "component protection" to make sure they are not stolen.

You will also need to get the 'shark fin' antenna/receiver installed in the roof of your car.

Look for HITV they have a 8 inch screen replacement which will do the Job for you I would go that way rather than genuine..... much better navigation. HiTV Communications Integrated in car entertainment solution, digital TV GPS DVD headrest you can get IGO which is way better than the factory nav system.

You can download the map off the South American VW website if you can get the factory nav sat

i've heard from friends who have bought from HITV in the past for various cars that they've basically been chinese units with local support, are these 8" units any different?

does it really matter if it is the mapping with igo is way better than the factory nav.. no coding required and is easy to fit.
