Hey everyone, first post on here. I've just picked up a GTI 40 and I'm wanting to get the front two windows tinted to match the rear privacy glass as closely as possible.
I'm glad that I read this forum this morning though as it has saved me a wasted journey. My car was booked in to get tinted today but then I read on here that some tinters will not do the front quarter windows. So I phoned up to ask the question and was told no, so cancelled as it would look odd them being untinted.
I'm based in Sydney and it looks like a lot of people are recommending Hunters Hill Window Tinting. Does anyone know if they're open on Saturday as on the website, it just says appointment only for every day.
Alternatively has anyone used OZTINT? I spoke to them over the phone and they can do the front quarter panel also and match the rear privacy glass.
Also what is the best tint to go for in terms of make? I've read that 3M is good but OZTINT told me that if I used this then it won't match the privacy glass.
I'm more interested in getting the OEM look with the privacy glass as opposed to the actual benefits of the tint.
