Mine is 11 letters and 6 numbers. First letters are WVW, all upper case with no spaces. Make sure it's going in the cargo ID field.

Ignore all of the letters (WVWZZAU.etc) and enter the number along with the letter next to the first number.e.g W123456.

Just checked the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) website to check the VIN of my car and .... success, it has been loaded onto the ship and is on its way. It's on the TORRENS which is due to dock in Melbourne on November 6th! nearly wet myself of excitement, nearly 5 months since I ordered it and it's finally coming!!!

Good luck with the wait guys - it is worth it. I walked into a dealer on Saturday - finalised a Comfortline with DA pack in Limestone grey (with a reversing camera) on the Monday. They located an unallocated one with the specs going to the dealer. It was ON a ship already. Got mine 9 working days later. Very happy

Ordered the 103TSI Highline in Limestone Grey - Added the Sunroof, DA Pack & Bi-Xenon lights - they were my must haves
I personally didn't see the value in spending $2950 for leather or $650 for the alarm (didn't want to eat into my $4k fleet discount)

Hi all, not sure if this is me overreacting or normal procedure in the ordering process. My dealer accidentally sent me an email which he was sending to his stock controller about my order. i placed an order on the first week of june. Is it normal procedure for them to liase with the stock controller at this stage? he said my car should arrive 6/11/13 but i can't track it so I'm a bit doubtful. (I've got a VIN with no track record since mid september)

Yes we are Ryan. My wife can't legally drive a manual so it made hard sometimes that we couldn't swap cars.

The deal is though, we buy a GTI it had to be her main drive car during the week.

Just tracked on Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics - worldwide ocean transport, inland services, supply chain solutions, terminal services and got a record showing my car on the Boheme! making its way to Melbourne EA 11/11. Longer ETA then what the dealer promised but happy its on its way finally!!!!

yes, getting very excited now! do you know how long it takes to clear customs and then interstate? I'm leaving for holidays on the 25/11 and not sure if i'll get it just in time or not.

Mine took seven days after delivery into Melbourne and it had to be road freighted to Brisbane! I guess it will depend on the dealer and how many cars they have to prep.
