Announcement

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Golf 7.5 Head Units

    Hi all,

Tried hiding the images in spoilers but mustn't have done it right .

Wondering if someone can tell me if there are any differences between the head unit I have in my Golf Alltrack which looks like this:

    VS

This alternate one I see sometimes:

First one with the controls on the left side - Discover Pro
2nd unit with the controls on both side - Discover Media
If they are from a Golf 7.5 than MIB2 units.
    Flipper Dog
    Now - T-Roc R, Audi Q5
    Past VWs- T-Roc R-Line, Golf 6, 7 and 7.5, Touareg 7L and 7P, Passat B5.5, Polo MK3, Polo MK4 and GTI

      Thanks for the reply.

Now that I know the names I did a bit of research. Seems the Pro is the more up market unit which ncludes the ability to have the map on the head unit and the digital dash display.

So no point in me changing.
