  • DSG Clutch Troubleshooting

I have a 2013 103TSI, 7 speed dry clutch with 60k km on the clock.

I have noticed the box selects gears that are too high for the travelling speed which lugs the engine and shakes the car, especially when climbing hills.

The box doesn't seem to know where the friction point is when taking off from a standstill. It revs higher than expected and allows the car to roll back before eventually engaging.

OBDEleven reports faults: P177B00, P189800, P177C00. These all point to a worn clutch pack.

I took the car to a VW dealer workshop who advised the clutch pack is within limits according to their software.

Can I confidently say the clutch is worn despite the VW workshop's advice?
