Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Right Foglight Not Working (Aftermarket Connectors)

    Hey all,

I’ve got two OEM MK7 GTI fog lights installed to my front bumper. The car is a Sportswagen MK7 TDI SEL with a MK7 GTI front bumper installed. I’ve got two after market harness connectors plugged in from my halogen connector to the GTI foglights

For Mk7 Golf Halogen to GTI/GTD LED Foglight Plug and Play Adapter cable harness | eBay

For some reason, the left foglight works but not the right foglight. I’ve swapped the harness connectors around for the right hand side and the harnesses works fine (unless I got sold two left hand side harnesses?). I’ve used another GTI foglight for the right hand side and it still doesn’t work—although I’ve plugged in my OEM halogen foglight back into the right hand side and it lights up but it doesn’t want LED on the right hand side!

Am I doing something wrong here?
