  • Golf R springs and rear sway bar into standard golf

    Hi guys.

Apologies if it's been covered before however the chance to pickup the following items for nearly nothing has come up.

First of all, are R springs lower than standard springs in a 110 TDI and will they fit?
Would like to lower the daily diesel but I've seen most springs are a 30mm drop. Bit too much for my daily. (The Monaro is lowered with pacemakers and it's a pain in the backside!)

Secondly would the R rear sway bar fit and is there any great benefit in doing it?

    Thanks,
    Brendan.

first ? yes tdi has a 55mm stur so no issue there
second ? no.. you will need a sway bar off a gti as the awd setup is different on the rear of the fwd

If you want a lowered spring that isnt too low look at the Eibach Pro Kit.... these give a very conservative drop vs the sportlines

      Thanks for that mate.

How much lower are the R's compared to the standard models? If it's something like 10-15mm that would be perfect.
Spring rate different or same same?

      Thanks,
